ABOUT CHRIS WARD
For more than two decades, Chris Ward has dedicated his time to building high-quality fishing rods for anglers across the UK and around the world. But his connection to fishing started long before that. Chris picked up his first rod at age fourteen, and what began as a young angler’s fascination grew into a lifetime of coaching, teaching, traveling, and eventually, crafting rods by hand.
After retiring from the UK Police Service in 1997, Chris moved fully into the world of recreational angling — coaching anglers of all ages, training coach educators, and later becoming known for his careful, thoughtful approach to rod building. His work has taken him from the chalk streams of Hampshire to the offshore waters of Kenya, and those experiences shape every rod he builds today.
